ROCK

The rock (or just rock) is a broad term to define popular music genre that developed during and after the 1960s. Their roots are in rock and roll and rockabilly that emerged and was established in the United States in the late start of the forty-fifty, which evolved from blues, country music and the rhythm and blues, among other musical influences that also include folk, the gospel, and jazz and classical music. All these influences combined in a simple structure based on the blues music that was "rapid, dançável and sticky."

At the end of the 1960s and early seventies, the rock has different subgenera. When mixed with folk music or the blues or the jazz, folk rock was born, the blues-rock and jazz-rock respectively. In the 1970s, rock incorporated influences from genres such as soul music, funk and the rates of several Latin American countries. Even in that decade, the rock has generated a number of other subgenera, such as soft rock, to glam rock, the heavy metal, hard rock to the progressive rock and punk rock. Already in the eighties, the subgenera that emerged were the New Wave, the hardcore punk and alternative rock. And in the 1990s, the sub-genres have been created the grunge, the Britpop, the indie rock and nu metal.

ROCK

EMOS

Or Emo Emocore (English abbreviation of emotional hardcore) is a genre of music derived from Hardcore. The term was originally given to bands of the punk scene in Washington, DC a lyricism that made up more emotional than usual.

Origin

There are several versions that attempt to explain the origin of the word "emo", as a fan would have yelled "You're emo!" (You're emo!) For a band (the myths vary considerably as the band in question, and probably the Embrace or Rites of Spring).

However, the most accepted as true is that the name was created by alternative publications such as the fanzine Maximum RocknRoll Thrasher Skate and revised to describe the new generation of bands of "emotional hardcore" which appeared in the middle of the 80s, headed by bands of Dischord Records in Washington DC, as previously mentioned Embrace and Rites of Spring, and Gray Matter, Dag Nasty and Fire Party.

EMOS

PAGODE

Pagode is a Brazilian musical genre originating in Rio de Janeiro from the scene of samba music. Musical style more common in slums and areas with low concentration of income, such as joint housing and suburbs. This is the pejorative and prejudiced that this word made. Indeed, the pagoda is not exactly a musical genre. The pagoda, in fact, was the name given to the parties that happen in the slave quarters and ended up becoming a synonym of any party watered the joy, singing and drinking. Evidence that in the name has nothing to do with the rhythm, the music is recorded by Pagode de Brasília Tião career in 1959, whose clothing does not remember any of the variations of the samba. The term pagode, began to be used as synonymous with samba because of Sambistas that is worth that name for its festivals, but never mentioned as the musical style. This can be well understood by the "Pagoda of Vavá" by Paulinho da Viola, "Pagode hard" of Laci Brandão or any other group Quintal Fund, considered by many the first group of pagode do Brasil. Turned out to be a reference for lay people who talk about pagode, forró and axé. Since none of these are genres or even rhythms. And today is used in a pejorative by some as inappropriate and even by "musicians of Gender."

PAGODE

FUNK

The Funk is a style quite typical of North American black music, developed from the mid-1960s by artists like James Brown and his musicians, especially Maceo and Melvin Parker Parker, from a mixture of soul music, soul jazz and R & B.

The funk can be better recognized for its speed syncope, the voice of some of its singers and groups (such as Cameo or the Bar-Kays). And yet the strong rhythm section of metal, marked by the percussion and rhythm dançante.Nos 70 was the funk influence to musicians in jazz (as examples, the music of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Eddie Harris and others).
The musicians first black American called the funk music with a more gentle pace. This initial form of music set the pattern for later musicians: a song with a slower pace, sexy, free, music oriented phrases repeated (riffs) and especially dancing.

HIPPIE

The "hippies" (the singular, hippie) were part of what is called the counterculture movement of the 60s and relative decline of popularity in the 70s in the U.S., although the movement has had much strength in countries like Brazil only in the decade of 70. One ideomáticas phrases associated with this movement was the famous saying "Peace and Love" (in English "Peace and Love") that preceded the words "Ban the Bomb," which criticized the use of nuclear weapons.
Environmental issues, the practice of nudism, and sexual emancipation ideas were recurrently observed in these communities.

Adopting a way of community life, with a sort of socialist or anarchist-nomadic way of life and life in communion with nature, denied that nationalism and the Vietnam War and all wars, embraced aspects of religions such as Buddhism , Hinduism, and / or the religions of native cultures and the U.S. were at odds with traditional values of American middle class and the capitalist economies and totalitarian. They see the patriarchy, the miltarismo, governmental power, industrial corporations, the mass, capitalism, authoritarianism and traditional social values as part of an "institution" only, and that it had legitimacy.

GOTICOS

The Gothic means a phase in the history of western art, identifiable by features very specific to the social, political and religious values in conjunction with aesthetic and philosophical and that comes as a response to the austerity of the Romanesque style.

This cultural and artistic movement developed during the Middle Ages in the Renaissance of the twelfth century and continued up until the advent of the Italian Renaissance in Florence, where the inspiration to break classical artistic language then spread.

The first steps are given to the middle of the XII century in France in the field of architecture (especially in the construction of cathedrals), and eventually cover other aesthetic disciplines, is extended through Europe until the beginning of the sixteenth century, no longer showing then a geographic uniformity.

GOTICOS
